Introducing Piers Bois!
Piers Bois is best known as the illustrator of amusing scenes involving the interaction of gliders at Lasham gliding Society in England and the local population of Rooks that live in the trees surrounding the gliding site. His cartoons are an expression of one of the most immense talents, the ability to show, in seeming effortlessly produced ink on white paper drawings, all the frailties of the human race. Until recently, Piers had not made his living as an artist, but as a Policeman on the island of Jersey, off the coast of France where he lives with his family.
Now he has retired and works as a full time illustrator and cartoonist of a wide variety of work including commissioned presentation cartoons such as those to the Astronaut John Young and to Richard Noble of thrust SST fame? Piers tells us that at least one august recipient has hung their presentation in the toilet where they can ease their suffering with a good laugh - but he won't say who! As an author, I can only ask the reader to look at the rook at the side of this piece, or the lrsp logo, each of which Piers produced in a very short time, pen and ink on paper with no corrections. That is a rare talent that I am pleased to be able to introduce to you all. See more of Piers work at his website www.pierspix.com
